Viognier is one of our favorite Rhone grapes. Lighter in texture and nose, you can experience the famed “floral” character of Rhone whites without the wine being too big or heavy.
This Viognier sings of honeysuckle and mango nicely balanced by acidity. We kept the fermentation of the 2016 Viognier slightly warmer than usual to help temper the usual tartness and to create a slight creaminess to the mouthfeel. You’ll find this captivating wine pairs well with herb-roasted fowl, sea bass, lobster, or crab.
