Time to start thinking about thinning out the shoots. Typically we'd like two shoots per spur and will go through and remove the extras.

A week after budbreak the first leaves are pushing out.
The grape clusters are actually formed very early in the process. In fact if you cut a bud open before it grows you can see the future leaves and clusters.
The first Chardonnay leaves begin to push out.
