Bright and clean with and abundance of Strawberry on the nose, this Rosé will be fresh and fruity in its youth and then mature into a structured, complex wine as it ages.
On a hot day there is nothing better than a crisp, clean Rosé to refresh you as you lounge beside the pool.
Darker than you might expect, bone-dry and austere, this is a Rosé of Grenache with just a touch of Picpoul Blanc to brighten the palate.
In the nose you’ll find the typical red fruit, a certain “strawberry” note that tells you the wine is mostly Grenache, but in the palate it’s joined by darker fruit and spice from 7% of Syrah added to the blend.
55% Grenache – 25% Syrah – 20% Mourvèdre The light color and the high percentage of the Grenache lead to Prelude being a lighter-styled, easy drinking summer wine.
72% Syrah – 25% Mourvèdre – 3% Carignane This wine was a bit of a surprise for us. Due to a fruit shortage in 2015 we were forced to use Mourvèdre instead of Carignane to provide balance to our darker, Syrah-based blend.
